Warangal Chapata Chilli

Warangal Chapata, known locally as tomato chilli for its short, broad, thick-walled pods, is a very mild, high-colour chilli from Telangana. It was registered as a Geographical Indication (GI) in 2025, and Spices Board of India lists it among the high-colour, low-pungency chillies used for colour extraction.

Geodhara International sources Warangal Chapata through our supplier network in Warangal, Hanumakonda, Mulugu and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts of Telangana. Volumes are limited, at about 11,000 tonnes a year from roughly 6,700 acres, so we confirm availability early. Lots are sun dried, machine cleaned and graded by colour and pod size.

Our target markets include China, Bangladesh, the UAE, Thailand, and Sri Lanka. For importers, spice processors, food manufacturers, and wholesale distributors there, we offer bulk supply, competitive pricing, and complete export documentation.
