HPH-5531 Chilli

HPH-5531 is a hybrid chilli from the seed company Syngenta, sold to growers as HPH 5531 and traded as 5531. The seed company describes deep, bright red, medium-wrinkled dry pods with medium pungency, and buyers choose it for high colour with medium heat in colour-led blends and grinding.

Geodhara International sources HPH-5531 through our supplier network in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, where it is widely grown. Lots are sun dried, machine cleaned and graded by colour, pungency and pod size, with stem or stemless, for consistent export-grade supply.

Our target markets include China, Thailand, Bangladesh, the USA, Sri Lanka, the UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and the UK, and, for colour extraction, the EU. For trade buyers, spice processors, food manufacturers, and wholesale distributors there, we offer bulk supply, competitive pricing, and complete export documentation.

FAQs

HPH-5531 is Syngenta's HPH 5531, a hybrid chilli traded as 5531, with deep, bright red, medium-wrinkled dry pods and medium pungency. It is grown widely in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, and in Karnataka.
ASTA colour typically runs about 100 to 150 with medium heat of roughly 30,000 to 45,000 SHU. Each lot's measured values are on its certificate of analysis.
Across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka, with lots traded through the Guntur and Karnataka markets. New crop arrives from January to April and is supplied year round from cold storage.
Both are hybrids of the wrinkled, high-colour type with medium heat of about 30,000 to 45,000 SHU. Devanur Deluxe runs slightly higher in colour, about 100 to 160 ASTA against about 100 to 150 for HPH-5531, and comes in smaller volumes, so we confirm it early in the season.
We pack HPH-5531 Chilli in compressed bales, or 10 kg to 25 kg PP or jute bags and cartons. A 20 ft container holds approx. 7–8 MT baled and a 40 ft container holds approx. 15–16 MT baled. Each lot is tested for aflatoxin, pesticide residues and Sudan dyes (I–IV), and for Salmonella where required, against destination-country limits, with NABL lab reports.
