FAQs

Turmeric from the Duggirala belt of Guntur district in Andhra Pradesh, and the name of the variety grown there. ICAR-IISR and Tamil Nadu Agricultural University both list Duggirala among India's leading commercial turmeric cultivars, and Duggirala Red is also the main variety of Telangana's Nizamabad belt, where it is known as Erra Guntur.
In a 2023 trial at Telangana's horticultural university, Duggirala Red gave 3.43% curcumin, 21.4% dry recovery and one of the highest fresh yields, about 30 tonnes per hectare. It is a long-duration variety. Each lot is tested and its curcumin stated on the certificate of analysis.
The crop is harvested from January to March, then cured and dried, and arrivals at the Duggirala market yard build from April. In 2023-24, ANGRAU's market data showed arrivals of fingers and bulbs picking up from April to August, with July the busiest month. Dried turmeric stores well, so we supply year round.
We offer 25 kg and 50 kg new jute or PP bags and cartons, with custom private-label packaging to suit your market requirements.
We provide complete export documentation including phytosanitary certificate, certificate of origin, fumigation certificate where the destination requires it, NABL lab test reports, and shipping documents. Geodhara International is registered with the Spices Board of India as a spice exporter.
