Cashew Kernels

Cashew kernels are the shelled and peeled nuts of the cashew tree (Anacardium occidentale), graded by size and colour. Andhra Pradesh grew 133,800 tonnes of raw cashew nuts on 200,569 hectares in 2023-24, the second-largest crop in India after Maharashtra, mainly in its coastal districts on the Bapatla varieties BPP-1 to BPP-8. Palasa in Srikakulam district is the state's largest cashew kernel centre.

Geodhara International sources cashew kernels through our supplier network in Andhra Pradesh, centred on the Palasa processing cluster in Srikakulam. Raw nuts are cooked, shelled, dried and peeled, then graded into wholes, butts, splits and pieces, vacuum or CO2 and nitrogen packed, and tested per lot for moisture, aflatoxin and microbiology.

Our target markets include the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Japan, the Netherlands, and the USA. For snack and confectionery manufacturers, nut roasters, food service distributors, and importers there, we offer consistent bulk supply, competitive pricing, and full export documentation.

FAQs

W stands for white wholes and the number is the count of kernels per pound, so W320 has 300 to 320 kernels per pound and W180, the largest common grade, no more than 180. SW and DW are scorched and dessert wholes, slightly darker in colour, while butts, splits and pieces are graded broken kernels for cooking and processing.
Through our supplier network in Andhra Pradesh, centred on Palasa in Srikakulam district, which the district administration describes as the state's largest cashew kernel centre. Srikakulam has about 24,000 hectares under cashew, and Andhra Pradesh grew 133,800 tonnes of raw cashew nuts in 2023-24, according to the Directorate of Cashewnut and Cocoa Development.
Each lot is graded for size and colour and tested for moisture, kept at 3% to 5% as the AFI specification requires, and for aflatoxin, Salmonella and E. coli against the destination's limits. The certificate of analysis travels with every shipment, and samples are available before contract.
We offer 25 lb (11.34 kg) tins and flexible pouches, vacuum packed or flushed with carbon dioxide and nitrogen, two to a 50 lb carton, with custom private-label packaging to suit your market requirements.
We provide complete export documentation including certificate of origin, phytosanitary and health certificates where the destination requires them, NABL lab test reports, and shipping documents.
