Groundnut

Groundnut, or peanut (Arachis hypogaea), is one of India's main oilseeds and farm exports: India shipped 680,699 tonnes in 2023-24, mainly to Indonesia, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia and Thailand. Telangana grows it mostly as a post-rainy (rabi) crop in Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy and Jogulamba Gadwal, and Andhra Pradesh across Sri Sathya Sai, Ananthapuramu, Kurnool, Annamayya and Chittoor. In both states the main variety is Kadiri 6 (K-6), a Spanish bunch type bred at Kadiri and traded as Java.

Geodhara International sources groundnut kernels through our supplier network in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, shelled and graded in APEDA-registered units. Kernels are hand picked and selected (HPS), graded to count, and sampled by an approved laboratory for aflatoxin against the destination's limit, and each shipment leaves with APEDA's Certificate of Export, issued through its Peanut.Net traceability system.

Our target markets include Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand. For snack and confectionery makers, peanut butter producers, oil mills, and importers there, we offer consistent bulk supply, competitive pricing, and full export documentation.

FAQs

Mainly Kadiri 6 (K-6), a Spanish bunch variety bred at Kadiri in Andhra Pradesh and traded as Java. ICRISAT's 2023 baseline survey in Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy and Mahabubnagar found it the dominant cultivar, at more than 90%, and it also leads in Andhra Pradesh alongside Kadiri Lepakshi (K-1812), Narayani, Dharani and TAG-24. Kernels are graded to count and the count is stated per lot.
Every lot follows APEDA's procedure for exporting peanuts. Kernels come from APEDA-registered shelling and grading units, an approved laboratory samples each consignment and tests it against the importing country's aflatoxin limit on a 7% moisture basis, and APEDA issues the Certificate of Export through Peanut.Net only when the result is within that limit. Telangana's main crop is harvested in the dry post-rainy season, which ICRISAT credits with high-quality, low-aflatoxin kernels.
Through our supplier network in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Telangana's crop is mainly rabi, led by Nagarkurnool, Wanaparthy and Jogulamba Gadwal, and more than 90% of it is sold as kernels. Andhra Pradesh grew 3.56 lakh tonnes in 2023-24, mostly in Sri Sathya Sai, Ananthapuramu, Kurnool, Annamayya and Chittoor.
We offer 25 kg and 50 kg PP or jute bags, with vacuum packing and custom private-label packaging to suit your market requirements.
